Town and Country
The Town ‘n Country area of Tampa Bay runs north and northwest of Tampa International Airport. It meets Oldsmar in Pinellas County to the west, Westchase to the north off Linebaugh Avenue and includes the waterfront homes overlooking the Courtney Campbell Causeway. This 25 square mile area offers a wide range of pricing regarding homes. It didn’t become developed residentially and commercially until the 1960’s and 1970’s; prior being a dairy farm. You will find mostly 3 to 4 bedroom homes as well as smaller 2 bedroom ones with apartments as well.
Bay Crest Park:
3 distinct neighborhoods comprise Bay Crest Park. There is Old Bay Crest to the west; Middle Bay Crest and New Bay Crest. One unique feature of Bay Crest Park is that our residents enjoy our very own boat ramp and launch facility, located at Bay Crest Drive and Gilbert Avenue. Zoned for residential use only, most of the over 900 single-family homes were built in the 1960’s including over 350 waterfront homes, accessible to Old Tampa Bay by a distinct network of canals within the subdivision.
The Cove at Bayport Colony:
This quiet neighborhood with many mini cul-de-sacs of homes offers almost 500 single family homes to the Town ‘n Country area. Bordering on West Hillsborough Ave and walking distance to the bay, you will find mostly 3-4 bedroom homes with a small boatable lake in its midst. Favored for its close proximity to beaches, airport, highways and downtown, this community of homes has been a popular place to call home since the 1970’s.
Sweetwater is located within a nature preserve and is surrounded by Old Tampa Bay and Sweetwater Creek. Gated with deed restrictions and interweaving waterways throughout keep this community a popular place for about 130 homes. And yet, right outside this private nestle of a neighborhood; you have instant access to highways, the airport, shopping, restaurants, boating and more.
This large subdivision of almost 1000 single family homes is located off Waters and Hanley Rd and celebrated 40 years in 2014. Located right off the Veterans Expressway amidst an array of shopping, is one of the reasons this neighborhood is so popular for Tampa residents.
